Stand-up power wheelchair

This thesis deals with the structural design and manufacture of special power wheelchair prototype in collaboration with company Brano. Remarkable feature of this wheelchair is the ability to pull its user to an upright position, offering the greater independence, self-sufficiency and medically positive impact on physical functions. The content of this thesis is devoted to a search of the current state of knowledge in the matter, structural analysis of complete wheelchair assembly with a detailed description of each component including the important calculations and analyzes, as well as a description of the wheelchair testing. The conclusion presents summarization of all the results in structural, technological and economic terms.

Employment of Disabled People

This bachelor thesis deals with the taxation of disabled persons. It focuses mainly on who the disabled persons are, how the law regulate their employment, on financial contributions provided by the Labour Office of the Czech Republic to employers of disabled persons and the rights and obligations of the employers, mostly on the obligation fulfilment of the mandatory share.

Recruitment of Staff to Employment and Related Obligations of the Employer

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of employment law and more specifically the adoption of staff recruitment. It provides an overview of the employers obligations related to the employment of new staff and analyzes future costs of the company to create new jobs. Employer with more than 25 employees in employment are obliged to employ disabled persons or subscribe products from employers employing 50 % of persons with disabilities or to contribute to the state budget. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate which of the legal obligations for employers is most advantageous in terms of cost minimization.

Economic and legal aspects of social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic

The master’s thesis focuses on the economic and legislative aspects of social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic. The work defines the basic theoretical basis for social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic, describes the relationship of disabled persons to the labor market, and outlines the benefits connected to employing individuals with disabilities. The thesis further investigates the current situation in a specific sheltered workshop that is planning to expand its capacity. The conclusion of the thesis presents an evaluation of the advantages/profitability of such a project, summarizes the possible risks of entrepreneurship in the protected labor market, and offers suggested measures for the continuation of the sheltered workshop.

Family residence with a branch of an insurance company

The Bachelor’s thesis called "Family residence with a branch of an insurance company" built-up addresses a vacant site in Brno – Horní Heršpice. This is a vacant site in terraced houses on the Sokolova street. New family house is designed as two storey house with flat roof and without cellar. The basement wall system is woodchip-concrete blocks called Izoblok. Ceilings are designed as monolithic. The house is based on strip foundation. The building is located at the street line, its height does not exceed 8 m and built-up area is 261 m. There will be a branch of insurance company towards the street, entry to the residence and double garage. The ground floor is designed as barrier-free apartment facing the garden, adapted for the disabled person. Another spacious apartment is situated on the second floor.

Structural limits of the support system of employment for people with disabilities

The thesis focuses on what are the structural limits of the system of support for employment of persons with disabilities. To answer the research question, great attention is first devoted to getting acquainted with individual actors in this issue. This substantial part of the thesis is followed by a presentation of the theoretical anchor of the thesis, which is New public management and game theory. Subsequently, the thesis presents a wide range of data on which it is based. A significant part of these data are purposefully collected primary data, the analysis of which provides a unique insight into the labour market for persons with disabilities. The benefit of the thesis also lies in the combination of a large number of other data sources, which are collected in the Czech Republic, but whose summary interpretation has so far been lacking. Individual analytical parts of the thesis then answer the research sub-questions. In the final discussion, the results reflect the theoretical bases used. The main conclusion of the thesis is that the current system setting puts obstacles for a wider level of integration of people with disabilities into the labour market. Social security of disabled persons

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the social protection of handicapped persons and its legal regulations in the social law of Czech Republic, the evaluation of the actuality and quality of the current settings of the social benefits and their valuation, with the focus on the benefit for care. This thesis is divided to three chapters. First chapter is introductory and defines the social security system itself. Furthermore, the first chapter introduces the history of the social security law in Europe and Czech Republic as well. The second chapter is focused on the specific benefits for physically and mentally disabled persons in accordance with the law 329/2011 Sb., of administration of the social security benefits for handicapped persons, which modulates the benefits to two parts; mobility benefit and benefit for the medical instruments. This law also includes the specification of the different levels of the identification cards for the handicapped persons. This part also concludes the current legal regulations, entitlement for benefits, the hearings and height of the allotted benefits.
